In just a few weeks, style fans from all over the world will descend upon the capital to be part of the infamous London Fashion Week. And this year, the fashion conscious won’t just be taking note of clothes trends for adults, but for children too.
This is because Mini Mode, London Kids Fashion Week, will also be returning, with children models showcasing the latest styles for both autumn / winter 2019 and spring / summer 2020 during the two-day event.
Kidswear designers, buyers, influences, celebrities, and media types will be watching the catwalk at St Mary’s in Wyndam Place to see how fashion trends will change over the next year.
Mini Mode was set up by Amanda Rabor, who told Fashion United: “As a designer and businesswoman, I wanted to create a global platform to enable and support incredibly talented designers. As a mother, I created a platform to empower real kids who want to experience the fashion world.”
The event will open to industry professionals on September 13th, focussing on spring / summer 2020 collections. The public will then be able to attend the catwalk show the following day to see the latest styles for autumn / winter 2019, with the option to buy some of the items right away.
Kids fashion is a varied and eclectic industry these days, with a wide spectrum of styles available for children. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids, for instance, are always wearing very traditional outfits, whereas Andrea Casiraghi – the eldest grandchild of the Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly – dresses his youngsters in more urban outfits from the latest designers.
